An update on Karim Benzema in what could be a major boost for Real Madrid

During the international break, Karim Benzema has been working extra hard at Real Madrid to recover from his injuries.

Karim Benzema hasn’t been available for Real Madrid in a while. The Frenchman sustained an injury in the Champions League opener and has been out of action since September 6, when he was forced off in the away team’s 3-0 victory against Celtic. He has missed three games as a result.

His recuperation has received a boost for Los Blancos. It is well known that Real Madrid lacks depth at the striker position, with Mariano Diaz now appearing to have no place in the team’s starting lineup.

As a result, when Benzema hurt himself against Celtic, the fans’ worst nightmare came true.

To cover Benzema’s void, players like Rodrygo and Eden Hazard have played the false nine position. However, it appears that some good news is already circulating about the Frenchman.

Additionally, currently being rehabilitated is Lucas Vazquez. He adhered to his own regimen in response to developing a muscle issue versus Real Mallorca two weeks ago.

In order to manage a packed schedule of games leading up to the World Cup, Carlo Ancelotti has chosen to be careful with Karim Benzema’s return to play.

When Los Blancos resumed practice on Saturday, the French attacker continued to work alone rather than interact with the rest of the team.

According to AS, Benzema has used these two weeks without club football as a kind of mini-preseason. Up until now, no risks have been taken, and starting the following week, the volume will increase.

It goes without saying that this is good news for Real Madrid, as it appears as though Benzema is finally getting close to being match-fit and might be available again following the international break.

In truth, Real Madrid had the option of taking the chance and starting him in the derby match against Atletico Madrid, but the prudent course was chosen and he was given further time to heal.

Real Madrid have not been significantly harmed by his absence. Even though they occasionally appeared a little labored in the attacking third, they have scored goals in all of their games, which is ultimately what counts.

Benzema has scored four goals so far this season, but he has not been at full strength and does not appear as sharp as he did in the previous campaign.

He will perform at his peak in the La Liga, Champions League, and World Cup after getting back into shape.

As the majority of Ancelotti’s team returns from international service, he will likely ease back into full training in the coming days before maybe making an appearance in the team’s matchup with Osasuna on October 2.
