Antonio Conte admits to mounting Tottenham woes following their 4-2 loss to Man City

Antonio Conte admitted that frustration would increase and seemed to reevaluate his position at Tottenham.

The subject of Antonio Conte’s future has come up once more after the manager of Tottenham revealed that following their most recent loss at Manchester City, frustration may continue to build.

On Thursday night, the Italian witnessed his team lose once more, this time at Manchester City. The north Londoners had a 2-0 halftime lead, but the champions made an incredible comeback when they gave up four straight goals in the second half.

Their defeat came just four days after Arsenal easily defeated Tottenham to complete the double. This translates to Conte’s team earning four points out of a possible 15 since the Premier League’s return, while losing three of their previous five games.

The club continues to be concerned about Conte’s future because his deal expires in the summer. He has said unsettling things about the club’s expectations and investment, and he has acknowledged that he needs to alter his perspective if he wants to keep his composure.

He stated: “You can be confident that these situations are different if you ask me about my prior experiences with Inter, Chelsea, Juventus, as well as Siena and Bari.

When you fully comprehend the nature of the situation, you can approach it with more vigor, get it? It makes sense that if my expectations remain the same at Juventus and Inter, it might be harmful because I might become very frustrated.

Instead, I am working extremely hard because I want to get well since I am aware of what my role in this circumstance is. With my vision, my ideas, and my suggestions, I hope to better the team and the club.

Then we will see, for sure. I’m fully embracing the new scenario, and I’m aware that my duty is to participate in it, work with a team that is transitioning, and attempt to create a team that is prepared to fight and win.”

Conte has won the league championship in England and Italy with three different clubs. He took Chelsea to the top flight in his first year, but today his focus is on putting Tottenham in the top four.

He managed to accomplish so much last term, but several of their opponents have improved and look to have leapfrogged them.
Defeat to City left Tottenham in fifth, five points off Newcastle in fourth, having played a game more.

Conte himself has attracted criticism for his perceived negative style of play that is failing to get the best out of his top players. Tottenham’s next task is a trip to high-flying Fulham on Monday night.
