Casemiro makes bold admission concerning Brazil’s performance in the World Cup

The seasoned Brazil player, Casemiro, stated that the other members of his national team are aware of how strong the Selecao is even without Neymar in terms of alternative forward options.

Casemiro, a midfielder for Manchester United and a stalwart for Brazil, has admitted that the Selecao team frequently makes fun of their World Cup competitors because of the incredible quality available to the South Americans.

Brazil defeated Serbia 2-0 to win the opening World Cup game and will be without key talisman Neymar against Switzerland in game two because the 30-year-old has been ruled out for the remainder of the group stage due to an apparent ankle injury.

While some have questioned if Brazil’s hopes and status as tournament favorites will be affected by this new fitness setback, Casemiro believes Tite’s team has more than enough youthful talent waiting in the wings to fill in for their injured superstar.

“We could go on for days discussing Neymar as a player, his attributes, and the value he brings to our squad. It’s inevitable; he is our key player and our team’s differentiator,” Casemiro told reporters prior to their second match against Switzerland.

“However, we also have players like Vinicius Jr., Raphinha, Richarlison, and Gabriel Jesus who have been producing at a similar level.

We back-end players frequently make light of the fact that we feel bad for our opponents since we can swap Raphina for Antony and Richardson for Gabriel Jesus.

Rodrygo and Gabriel Martinelli are here. On the bench, we have a lot of choices. It’s wonderful for us. However, it does not alter the fact that Neymar is our best player.”

Brazil struggled to get going against Serbia in their opening game in Qatar, but a strong brace from Tottenham prospect Richarlison was enough to give them the victory.

The five-time champions, who have yet to win football’s most coveted trophy for a sixth time, are widely regarded as the favorites this time around.

The Real Madrid forward Rodrygo is thought to be the most logical Neymar substitute should Tite decide to use the same 4-2-3-1 configuration as against Serbia because he was chosen for the position for three pre-tournament warm-up games.

Casemiro praised the young Los Blancos player before the following match when he came on toward the conclusion of the team’s triumph on matchday one.

Casemiro commented, “Rodrygo lights up the eyes and excites everyone with his play. He is a fantastic player who naturally has the ability to play football. It was fun to watch him play. Football fans will never tire of watching him play.”
