Christian Pulisic Linked With A Move To Man United As They Plot A Loan Bid For The Chelsea Star

Christian Pulisic appears to be the most recent target that Manchester United’s transfer executives have considered for recruitment in recent days.

The Athletic claims that United are thinking about making a loan offer for Pulisic.

The fact that United have suffered two losses in their first two games has brought to light exactly how much work remains.

When Erik ten Hag accepted the position prior to the summer transfer window, he should have been aware of the challenging task of turning things around at Old Trafford.

Christian Pulisic has been eyed by Manchester United in a last-ditch effort to bolster their roster before the deadline for signing new players.

The only significant change to United’s starting lineup from last season is Lisandro Martinez, although Tyrell Malacia and Christian Eriksen have also arrived this summer.

United has turned its attention to US international Pulisic after so far failing to close deals for Juventus’ Adrien Rabiot and Barcelona’s Frenkie De Jong.

In addition, despite having a keen interest in a number of targets, they have so far been unable to sign any forward players.

Cristiano Ronaldo has yet to publicly declare whether his Man United exit would pull through, so his future is still up in the air.

United have contacted Chelsea about signing Pulisic, but the London club is more likely to turn down the request because they are more interested in a loan arrangement.

With two years left on his contract, Pulisic, who United considered before Chelsea acquired him from Borussia Dortmund for £58 million in 2019, is dissatisfied with the amount of playing time he receives.

The 23-year-old played only 30 minutes off the bench in Chelsea’s first two Premier League games of the current campaign.

Erik ten Hag, the manager of United, is searching for a flexible attacker who can pose a threat from out wide on the right, and Pulisic fits the bill.

In addition to United, Juventus and Atletico Madrid are also believed to be interested in signing Pulisic.

Pulisic is in desperate need of more playing time before the World Cup this winter.

It is known that Chelsea’s readiness to allow Pulisic to leave, whether on a temporary loan or a permanent transfer, depends on their capacity to find a suitable replacement.

Anthony Gordon of Everton has had two bids for him rejected by Chelsea, and it appears that United’s pursuit of Pulisic will depend on whether the Blues can finalize that transaction or find a replacement.

Before he signed with the Blues, in 2017, Pulisic spoke candidly about his affection for United and a particular club hero.

“When I was younger, I was a huge Manchester United fan,” Pulisic admitted to ESPN.

According to reports, Pulisic is eager for a transfer away before the transfer window closes and would prefer a move to United.
