Karim Benzema and Vinicius Jr Share Bold Remarks On UCL Final Against Liverpool

Real Madrid players like Karim Benzema and Vinicius Jr have been fueling the flames ahead of the Champions League final versus Liverpool.

Karim Benzema and Vinicius Jr of Real Madrid have put themselves in a pinch ahead of the Champions League final.

On Saturday evening, the two teams will meet in Paris for the showpiece European final.

The Spanish giants will be looking for their 14th title, while Liverpool will be attempting to cut the gap on their seventh title.

Los Blancos will need more magic from the pair if they are to beat Liverpool, who will travel to the Stade de France as favourites. The final will be a rematch of the 2018 final, which the Spanish side won 3-1 in Kyiv.

Since then, Liverpool has won the Champions League, while Real Madrid’s most recent success was in 2018.

Benzema’s has been a standout performance as Carlo Ancelotti’s team has battled back to defeat PSG, Chelsea, and Manchester City in the final rounds.

Some people were left with a bitter taste in their mouths after their triumph against Liverpool in 2018. Mo Salah was taken off due to injury after a collision with Sergio Ramos.

Loris Karius’ blunders contributed significantly to the outcome, but Madrid’s players have not been bashful in voicing their opinions ahead of the rematch.

Vinicius Jr. is certain that the Liga champions will win if they match their opponent’s energy. “Hopefully they play with all of them.” the Brazilian remarked.

“We’d want to see a fantastic battle between two teams that includes all of their players. With complete concentration.”

And they’re both vying for the most important prize of all, the Champions League.

“We watch a lot of Liverpool games. They’re a fantastic squad with a lot of power and energy. If we even it against them, we will undoubtedly win.”

Meanwhile, Benzema, who has scored hat-tricks in consecutive games against Chelsea and PSG, is many people’s favorite to win the Ballon d’Or. He scored the game’s first goal in the 2018 final and has 15 goals this season.

The Frenchman stated that, while the Reds are a formidable team, they have not changed in the previous four years.

He explained, “They’re pretty nice. Over the years, they haven’t changed much.” But, in the end, we must assess our performance. And if we do our part, the rest will fall into place. I’m certain.”

Salah has made no secret of his desire to exact vengeance on the Spanish giants, particularly following his own absence in 2018, as the team attempts to avenge their Premier League defeat.

“I’m really motivated, incredibly driven, after what happened last time [2018 final]—everyone is motivated for this.” he remarked. “We’re fighting for it, and everyone is ecstatic.”

It appears Liverpool has plenty of motivation, Vinicius Jr. and Benzema’s words might backfire if Jurgen Klopp’s team wins.
