Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on Atletico Madrid’s radar amidst his troubles at Chelsea

Although the career of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at Chelsea is still young, he is reportedly on Atletico Madrid’s radar as his current club struggles continue.

Aubameyang, who was a prolific scorer in the Premier League before going to Stamford Bridge, has only scored three goals.

Joao Felix’s transfer is now finalized, and he has joined on loan for the rest of the season. The Daily Mail has learned that Atletico is one of the teams keeping tabs on Aubameyang, although any deal would not be directly related to Felix’s future.

Aubameyang has not made a start for Chelsea since November, and Potter brought him on and then took him off during the loss to Manchester City last week.

An ex-Arsenal player said, “Aubameyang, in my opinion, will now move on. They’ll probably sever connections with him, in my opinion. I believe the end comes when you are sub-subbing a player in their 30s.

With a younger player, you might be able to get away with that, but in football, it’s against the rules. An absolute no-no. But Potter did it to him at the age of 33, and he’s done, in my opinion.”

Despite his lack of strength, it is reported that the West Londoners are not eager to transfer the Gabonese international this month due to a lack of backup.

The absence of Armando Broja has limited Potter’s options and forced him to play for the majority of the game without a recognized striker. He chose to use a false nine system, which has hurt Chelsea in the final third.

The Blues are hoping that Felix’s arrival will increase their attacking efficiency. To land the forward, they had to outbid Manchester United and Arsenal.

According to ESPN, the player recently signed a new contract that lasts until 2027; thus, the loan swap will only cost them a little less than £10 million and will not involve any purchase options.

Chelsea lost 4-0 to Manchester City on Sunday, and they have only won one of their last eight Premier League games. They were also eliminated from the FA Cup.

They are ranked 10th in the Premier League standings. The Champions League, where Chelsea will play Borussia Dortmund and Jude Bellingham in the round of 16, represents their final realistic opportunity to win a title this year.

Boehly is prepared to give Potter some time to help the Blues go back to the top of European football despite this.
