Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sends unreserved Arsenal warning ahead of upcoming clash

When Chelsea play the Gunners, former Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mikel Arteta will reunite, and the striker has made a statement to his former team.

It will be the former Gunners captain’s first appearance against his former team since departing earlier this year, and he may start the game.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Chelsea has said, “Arsenal, it’s nothing personal,” in an effort to inflame feelings between the two teams ahead of this weekend’s match.

At Stamford Bridge, the two London rivals square off as the Gunners try to maintain their incredible campaign so far.

Although the match itself is significant from the standpoint of the title chase, Aubameyang himself stands to benefit even more from it.

After appearing in the most recent teaser for this weekend’s game on BT Sport, the striker has now tried to hype up spectators.

Aubameyang had a straightforward message for his former team before the match. He said, “Arsenal, it’s nothing personal,” looking directly at the camera. “I am back, I’m in blue, I’m ready.” The 33-year-old continued.

Aubameyang, who assisted his team in winning the FA Cup, scored 92 goals in 163 games for the Gunners. With three goals in his first 11 appearances for the Blues in all competitions, he has had a sporadic start to life at Chelsea.

His lone goal since returning to the Premier League was scored last month when Chelsea defeated Crystal Palace 2-1.

If he leads his new team to victory, the Blues might pass Manchester United and move up to fifth place.

In the meantime, should Manchester City lose to Fulham, Arsenal would have the chance to increase their lead over the league’s second-place team to five points.
