PSG And Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe Battle Continues As He Sets To Finalize Transfer

Kylian Mbappe of Paris Saint-Germain is expected to finalize his move to Real Madrid after declaring that a decision on his future would be made “in a matter of days.”

Despite Paris Saint-Germain rejecting a world-record fee last summer, the French superstar is expected to sign a five-year contract in Spain’s capital.

PSG striker Kylian Mbappe has reportedly agreed to join Real Madrid this summer, despite the Spanish giants’ long-term interest in the Frenchman.

Mbappe’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires in June, and he has recently hinted at a move to Real Madrid, as well as suggesting that he is open to leaving France in a recent interview.

The French striker recently met the Spanish giants in the Champions League Round of 16, scoring a last-minute winner in Mauricio Pochettino’s side’s first-leg victory.

He also scored in the return leg in Madrid, opening the scoring before a shocking Karim Benzema hat-trick sealed PSG’s fate in Europe.

There have been speculations that PSG is willing to improve the terms of Lionel Messi and Neymar’s contracts in order to make the 23-year-old the club’s highest-paid player.

Meanwhile, many reports claim that French President Emmanuel Macron has tried to encourage Mbappe, with whom he shares a friendship, to stay in Paris and reject the Spanish capital’s approach.

However, French political leaders’ efforts have failed, and Mbappe looks likely to finalize his free agency move to Real Madrid, which will be a remarkable move.

Not only is the Frenchman perhaps the most valuable player on the planet, but he will also complete the transfer fee-free.

The trade was finalised last week, according to Marca, with Mbappe upholding his word and verbal agreement with the Spanish giants.

There was an understanding between the player and the club that he would transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Although there had been no previous direct communication, despite the fact that, owing to his contractual circumstances, this would have been fine since January.

Mbappe visited Madrid this week and spoke with general director Jose Angel Sanchez, who cancelled other scheduled meetings with agents on Monday and Tuesday to meet with the striker.

The forward then confirmed his intention to move without paying a transfer fee, and the transaction was closed.

The Frenchman is poised to sign a five-year contract with Real Madrid, making him one of the highest-paid players in the world, with the payments boosted by the fact that Real Madrid will not have to pay a transfer fee.

Last summer, Real Madrid had a world-record proposal of over £200 million rejected by Paris Saint-Germain, allowing them to increase their financial commitment to wages, incentives, and signing-on fees.

After winning his third consecutive Ligue 1 player of the year award on Sunday night, Mbappe said, “Before I join the France national team in June, I will make an official announcement about my future plans. It will be official in a matter of days. ”

He went on to say that he had made his decision. “It’s almost done, so it’ll be known soon. Yes, I’ve almost made up my mind. “

It’s likely to put an end to one of the longest-running transfer sagas, with PSG’s rejection of Real Madrid’s world-record deal last summer.

A daring attempt to call their bluff and commit the striker to staying at the Parc des Princes for the foreseeable future.

That risk, however, failed to pay off, and he is now likely to finalise his move to La Liga.
